2. Device Placement & Ventilation

• Ensure Adequate Airflow: Position the concentrator in a well-ventilated room, keeping it at least 1 to 2 feet away from walls, curtains, and furniture to ensure intake vents remain unblocked.

• Avoid Enclosed Spaces: Never operate the unit inside a closet, cabinet, or tightly enclosed corner.

• Keep Upright: Always place the unit on a flat, solid floor to prevent tipping and protect internal components.

3. Electrical & Power Precautions

• Use a Dedicated Outlet: Plug the machine directly into a grounded wall socket. Avoid light-duty extension cords or multi-plug adaptors.

• Prepare Power Backups: Keep an inverter, UPS, or backup oxygen cylinder ready to handle potential power outages.

4. Hygiene & Daily Maintenance

• Use Distilled Water: Fill the humidifier bottle exclusively with distilled water to prevent mineral deposits, and refresh it daily.

• Sanitize & Replace Accessories: Clean the exterior of the unit weekly. Replace nasal cannulas and tubing every 2 to 4 weeks (or sooner after an illness).

• Adhere to Prescribed Flow: Never alter the oxygen flow rate (litres per minute) without direct guidance from your attending doctor or pulmonologist.
